What We Believe

God the Trinity

We Believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all according to the purpose of His will.

God the Father

We Believe God is essentially Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power and love, is personal, transcendent, sovereign, life, truth, almighty, timelessly eternal, unchangeable, just, pure actuality, infallible in all things
We Believe that God the Father concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through faith in Jesus Christ.

God the Son

We Believe in Jesus Christ—the second person of the Godhead, God's only begotten Son, the promised Messiah, conceived by the Holy Spirit.
We Believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, teachings, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and personal, visible return to earth.
We Believe that Jesus Christ is fully God and fully human, possessing two distinct natures which are co-joined in one person, and that He provided for the atonement of our sins by His vicarious, substitutionary death on the Cross.

God the Holy Spirit

We Believe in the Holy Spirit—the third person of the Godhead, who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment; and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ for ministry.
We Believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding comforter, helper, teacher, and guide.
We Believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all the biblical gifts of the Holy Spirit, to be employed within scriptural guidelines.

The Bible

We Believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired without error in their original manuscripts and are the infallible rule of faith and practice. The Bible is the foundation upon which this church operates and is the basis for which this church is governed.
We Believe that the Bible supersedes any earthly law that is contrary to the Holy Scriptures.
We Believe that we are to faithfully teach the Bible chapter-by-chapter, verse-by-verse thus allowing the believer to grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ
We Believe all scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

We believe that all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; and the wages of sin is death;
but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
We believe for by grace we are saved through faith; and that not of ourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
We believe for God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.   For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through Him might be saved.

Christ's Return

We Believe in the personal, visible return of Jesus Christ to the earth and the establishment of His kingdom,
Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come....look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Historic Witness

We Believe in what is termed the Apostles' Creed as embodying the fundamental facts of Christian faith.

I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth.

I believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit
and born of the Virgin Mary.
He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died, and was buried;
He descended into hell.
The third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended to heaven
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty.
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy universal church,
the communion of the saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting.
